Aims, contents and method of the course

Content:
Reading and translating selected texts from the book of Micah, and interpreting them with exegetical "methods".

Objectives:
The aim is to deepen the knowledge of how Old Testament exegesis works and how the methods learned in the proseminar interact and can be applied to prophetic texts.

Methods:
Text reading, group discussions, practising different "methods" of biblical interpretation, use of research tools (dictionaries, concordance, commentaries.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Active Participation in the course (25 points maximum).
- Homework (50 points maximum).
- Minutes of a session (approx. 3 pages) (25 points maximum).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements:
- Regular attendance (no more than 2 absences).
- A satisfactory overall assessment.

Assessment standard:
- 81-100 points = 1.
- 61-80 points = 2.
- 41-60 points = 3.
- 21-40 points = 4.
- 0-20 points = 5.

the content of the course; participation in the course, homework and a minute are the basis of evaluation.
