Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture offers an overview over the developments in the history of Christianity after the time of Reformation.
Starting point is the "Konkordienformel" and the so-called "konfessionelles Zeitalter" which will lead to the thirty-years-war 1618-1648. The center of the lecture will be the parallel but different developments called pietism and enlightment. It will close with remarks on the French revolution and on the famous theologian Schleiermacher.
The course is a hybrud lecture with 3 ECTS (1 ECTS = 25 h work):
The attendance of the lecture is approximately 1 ECTS.
The reading and studying of additional material (moodle) correlate 2 ECTS. The reading and studying of additonal material provided on "moodle" is obligatory to achieve the 3 ECTS.

Assessment and permitted materials

The lecture includes an oral exam (15 min) - no auxiliary means are accepted.

The oral exam deals with the content of the lecture and this additional material as well and has to be concluded with at least "4".

The content of the oral exam is the lecture and the additional material provided on moodle, which corresponds the basic knowledge for this period.
