Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Due to recent discussions about the interface between pastoral care and psychotherapy or the differences between these fields of practice, role models of pastoral workers are open to debate anew. This seminar will screen and reflect the diverse concepts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous assessment during the course; Regular attendance; Initiative and qualified cooperation in plenum and groups; Seminar paper during the term showing also a personal reflection; Working independently also in groups out of plenary sessions; Submission of theses/options worked out by the groups for the topics of the sessions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

On the basis of argumentative engagement with differing role models and resulting modes of practice, students should find a role model for themselves.

Examination topics

Reading, seminar paper on selected perspectives, discussion of the results in small bloc sessions.
