Die Vorlesung bietet exemplarische Einführungen zur Entstehung des Kanons, zu einzelnen neutestamentlichen Texten sowie zu anderen frühchristlichen Schriften. Zusätzlich ist die Lektüre von einem Einleitungswerk (s.u.) und Artikeln zu apokryphen Texten verpflichtend.
