Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Theories, understood as what people have in mind, fashion their perception and their interpretation of reality. Pastoral care is concerned with experiences with the "inner world". But as no experience is "pure", i.e., uninfluenced by the means of interpretation already at hand in the human mind, conscious experience is constituted when direct experience and interpretation come together. Thus inner experience, communicated in pastoral care, is interwoven with theological and psychological interpretations. Theories about the psyche resulting from this process will be presented and discussed as a main topic in these lectures.
