Ausgehend von einer kritischen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Begriff "konfessionelle Identität" wird in diesem Seminar - sowohl systematisch als auch exemplarisch - das Phänomen der Konversionen zwischen den christlichen Konfessionen und zwischen Christentum und Judentum in der Habsburgermonarchie vom 16. bis ins frühe 20. Jahrhundert untersucht werden.
