Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Too often, "gender" is usually seen as an annoying linguistic topic, especially in the German language. However, "gender" - as it is understood in this lecture - is much more: a fundamental part of all our perception and thinking. But this insight needs to be developed. Therefore the history of feminism and women's studies needs to be understood in order to comprehend the development to current issues in gender studies and theological gender studies. Thus, the gender perspective needs to be applied in all theological work, be it historical, exegetical, systematical or practical. It will be shown that this work produces eminent results which turn out to be important also for current issues such as socio-political or economic issues.
