Aims, contents and method of the course

The central content of the seminar is the transfer of knowledge in the field of patient safety and patient empowerment. In this context, the focus is on current developments and challenges. In addition to groundbreaking judicial decisions regarding the right of self-determination of patients, innovations in the field of tele-medicine and current socio-political circumstances will also be addressed. The aim is to convey (legal) core aspects. The course is intended to encourage joint discussion of the above-mentioned key topics and will be designed interactively.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Prior knowledge of the subject is not required, but there should be interest in the course content. Legal and sociological methods will be applied. The course is also suitable for students outside the law program.
