Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this practical seminar students design an individual sermon, which will be reflected on within the whole group. Each sermon will then be delivered in a Sunday service in one of the churches nearby and be reflected on after the service together with people from the congregation. Students are coached through all steps.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance and active cooperation; Submission of first draft of the sermon; Submission of a revised version of the sermon after discussion in the group; Final: Scholarly paper including the sermon and all preparatory work (principal material for the assessment).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Preparing and delivering an individual sermon.

Examination topics

Discussion of the first draft of the sermons, based on a feedback procedure the form of which will be worked out together with the group.
