The alienation between the Eastern and Western Churches is discussed and finally, in general, the relationship between the Orthodox Churches on the one hand and state power on the other. Some presentation topics will also be devoted to the legal status of the Orthodox in the Danube Monarchy.
For the current law, the legal status of the Orthodox Church in Austria must be taken into account from the perspective of equal treatment (parity), for example the question of possible appointment of curators, as regulated in the Orthodox Church Act of 1967.
Not only those churches whose external legal relationships are regulated in this law are discussed, but also those ancient Oriental churches whose legal status is the subject of the Oriental Orthodox Church Law of 2003.
