Aims, contents and method of the course

Thematic focus:
Europeanisation of the legal system and the laws on religion;
Different models of the relation between the state and religious communities within the member states, Religion and European Identity;
Particulatities of the European law on religion;
The religious and belief based dimension within the EU;
Freedom of Religion and Belief unter the European Community Law and unter the European Convention on Human Rights;
European jurisprudence (EJC, ECtHR, the former ECHR);
European labour law and anti-discrimination law;
Sects and new religious movements;
Islam in Europe.
