Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to the basic concepts of Austrian health law (definitions, history, organizational structure, informed consent, professional confidentiality etc.)
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exams in November and January (planned as open-book moodle exams)
Text of statutes and slides/PPP may be used (open book exam).Participation in the course is mandatory, students are allowed to miss two course units. No-show in the first unit without a justified reason will result in loss of the allocated place.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Written intermediate test (30%), final test (70%). In principle, 51% of the maximum points are required for a positive assessment.
Examination topics
Presentation (with PPP slides) of basic questions of Austrian medical law, slected case-studies will also be presented.
If required by the general pandemic situation, a hybrid format will be offered (addtional live-stream).
