Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course is designed for students in the first stage of study to prepare for the module examination in "Legal and Constitutional History". Using sources, thematic focal points from the section "History of Private Law" are discussed; this comprises about half of the entire module examination. To prepare for the "Constitutional History" part of the exam, it is recommended to attend a corresponding exercise.
Assessment and permitted materials
active participation in the discussions and two written tests. The only permitted aid is a bilingual dictionary (for people with non-German mother tongue).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
There will be two written test; for the final evaluation, the better test will be the basis (if the student has taken part only at one term, this term will be the basis). Improving the evaluation by up to two marks on the cause of active participation in the discussions is possible. But it is impossible to change a negative assessment into a positive only this way, e.g. one of the written tests has to be positive.
