Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar deals with the legal development of Austria during the Nazi period. Topics will be the "Anschluss" 1938 and its consequences for constitutional law, the impact on Nazi ideology on the development of jurisprudence as well as on the development of legislation and jurisdiction in the field of civil law and criminal law, the racist and political persecution in the Nazi era including the "Aryanization" and the restitution of seized property after 1945, finally the other measures for the "denazification" of Austria after 1945.
Assessment and permitted materials
The participants are required to do their own research, preparation and oral presentation of a scientific topic as well as the writing of a written paper.
The final grade results from both the oral and written performance. The correct oral presentation and formal design of the written work is as important as the content.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants will be asked for a 20-minute-presentation. A PPP will be possible but is not mandatory. Participation on the presentation day is obligatory!
