Aims, contents and method of the course
The particpants will examine the legal history of the First Austrian Republic.Participating students are asked for a MOTIVATION LETTER (via e-mail to thomas.olechowski@univie.ac.at) till March 5th. The letter should explain why you are interested in the seminar topic. Furthermore, I ask you to specify in which phase of your studies you are and whether you want to attend the seminar as a doctoral student, for the diploma thesis or "only" for historical competence, named in § 21 study plan.
Assessment and permitted materials
The participants are required to do their own research, preparation and oral presentation of a scientific topic as well as the writing of a written paper.
The final grade results from both the oral and written performance. The correct oral presentation and formal design of the written work is as important as the content.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants will be asked for a 20-minute-presentation. A PPP will be possible but is not mandatory. Participation on the presentation day is obligatory!
