Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In the course, ethical questions of extrajudicial conflict resolution are discussed. The focus is on central concepts such as "justice", "autonomy", "all-partiality/neutrality" and "fairness". Furthermore, the significance of emotions in the proceedings is analysed. Furthermore, these aspects are examined in their relationship to jurisdiction.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentations by the students (duration 15-20 minutes). The topics will be assigned in the preliminary meeting. Written elaborations of the presentations (five to seven pages) are to be submitted electronically to the course director by Friday 16 May.
