Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim is to deal with recent decisions on private international law and procedural law. Students will learn to contextualise decisions and to present the most important points orally and in writing in a structured way.There are suggestions for topics from the seminar leader; the participants can alternatively bring in their topics on private international law and procedural law.Methodologically, the course is based on a combination of oral, interactive and written work. The students present their topic orally, write a paper and participate in the discussion of their topic and the topic of the others.
Assessment and permitted materials
Grading is based on the oral presentation and the seminar paper. Students are motivated to use legal databases and library. Any support is permitted.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The basis is a positive paper. Weaknesses in the oral presentation can be improved in writing.
Examination topics
There is no exam.
Reading list
Literature recommendations are based on the individual topic. Standard works and commentaries on private international and international procedural law are recommended as a basis.
