Subject of discussions is the Union legislation for chemicals, especially the so called "REACH"-Regulation; aspects highlighted are the basic principles of Union legislation such as the free movement of goods, as well as health and environmental protection; with regard to chemicals legislation in Austria, current rules and methods of transposition, application and enforcement of this sector specific Union legislation are analysed.

Administrative provisions concerning dangerous chemicals by decisions and literature, highlighting the economic and constitutional background; documents will be distributed during the lessons.
