Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course will offer an introduction to the dissemination and use of legal information in various formats. The course will focus on practical techniques and strategies for research. Students should find the course useful to prepare for conducting a paper research and writing.At the end of the course students should be able to find current and retrospective statutes, administrative rules and regulations, administrative decisions, cases and other litigation materials, periodical articles and books in print and online.
Assessment and permitted materials
Die Leistungskontrolle erfolgt durch die durchgehende und systematische erfolgreiche Bearbeitung ALLER (!) Übungsprogramme sowie die erfolgreiche Absolvierung des abschließenden (wiederholenden) eTests.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Die vermittelte Recherchefähigkeit im gesamten Juristischen Material ist Voraussetzung zur Absolvierung der JMK II. Diese LV gilt auch als vollständiger Nachweis der "Juristischen Recherche in Rechtsinformationssystemen" für Studierende nach dem alten Studienplan
Examination topics
Der Kurs "Juristische Medienkompetenz I - Recherche & Methodik" wird in Moodle (http://elearning.univie.ac.at) angeboten. Die Studierenden finden in Moodle nicht nur die Quellen und Materialien zum Kurs, sondern auch eine entsprechende Struktur an praktischen Übungsprogrammen, die systematisch intensiv durchzuarbeiten sind. Sobald die Übungsprogramme komplett erfolgreich durchgearbeitet sind, kann man/frau zum abschließenden eTest antreten. Da die Lehrveranstaltung die Grundlage für die Absolvierung von JMK II darstellt, ist deren Abschluss bereits im April vorgesehen, sodass noch die Möglichkeit besteht, sich im laufenden Semester für JMK II anzumelden.
