Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar deals with key questions of Europen Constitutional Law (both on the European level and on the international level) which are currently under discussion. The war in Ukraine, societal changes and new challenges related to climate aggravation shall be addressed.

In the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed. Interdisciplinary issues are more than welcome.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on participation in the discussion (own presentation and in general) within the seminar (= 20%), the written handout (presentation or such = 20%) and the oral presentation (= 60%).
The requirements for the seminar paper are in line with the common practice at the Faculty of Law. Details and suggestions for further research work shall be provided via leaflet via MOODLE and in the kickoff class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Written presentation, oral presentation and participation in discussion in class.

Registered students shall receive an overview of the requirements in detail in the kick-off class and via MOODLE.

Examination topics

Students would want to present a topic of their own choice (out of a list provided) and hand in a short overview of the topic/the presentation itself.
Thus, a short presentation and a short overview are minimum requirements.

Also, studients should participate in classroom discussion.

Details will be provided in a leaflet and discussed in the kick-off class.

Introductory works shall be posted on MOODLE shorty after the kick-off class.
