Aims, contents and method of the course

This course offers an introduction into EU anti-discrimination law, thereby covering not only equal treatment in the area of work and employment, but laying a special focus on the equal access to goods and services.
Topics include:
- Legal framework of EU anti-discrimination law
- Basic concepts
- Justified differential treatment (e.g. positive action measures)
- Protected personal characteristics
- Access to goods and services
- sex-segregated goods and services

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of a court judgement
Active participation in class
Written test in the last session
