Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar aims to deepen legal-historical competence and to learn academic working techniques (or to improve the existing skills). The path to these goals leads through various topics that can be combined to form the general topic "Austrian Constitutional History - as Reflected in the Media (Press and Film)". The Seminar is part of the Legal History Summer School, organised with legal historians from ELTE Budapest and Pravni Fakultet Zagreb.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation (approx. 50%) of an English seminar paper to be submitted (approx. 40%), participation in the discussions (approx. 10%). Subsequently, the seminar paper may be extended to a diploma seminar paper (own grade!).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Those who have independently familiarised themselves with a meaningful topic and presented the results in a formally correct, interesting, exciting and comprehensible way, and then also participated in the discussions with interest, can expect a "very good". Those who have not understood the respective research question and/or have only quickly compiled existing texts (and then presented this "result" in a lacklustre manner) and have not participated in the discussions on other presentations will not receive positive grades. It is essential to what extent the objectives of a seminar (see above: Deepening legal-historical competence, learning academic working techniques ) have been achieved. Naturally, there is no rigid points system for this.

In-depth study of a legal-historical research question, writing a seminar paper (English), English presentation*, participation in English discussion* (*=in Budapest)
