Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar, new developments in the international legal frameworks of the commercial uses of the sea, airspace and outer space will be presented and discussed. At the first meeting, a list of topics will be provided. Proposals by the participants are also welcome. The seminar papers will be presented at several bloc classes. One of those will take place at an observatory in Vienna.

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In-depth analysis of selected topic in space law; the particpiants should learn how to elaborate and discuss international legal topics in a scholarly way

Examination topics

Legal research on a subject in the field of international space law, discussion of the subject in class, submission of a research paper at the end of the term, oral presentation and defense of the research paper during the final session
