Aims, contents and method of the course

Basics of intellectual property law (trademarks, design, inventions, copyright)
Acquisition of practical basic knowledge of intellectual property law
Lecture with powerpoint presentation; systematic presentation of national, international and EU intellectual property law regulations (trademark, design, patent and copyright law) including case law based on numerous case studies.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written multiple-choice test at the end of the semester. If necessary, alternate dates for the oral/ multiple choice written test. No aids allowed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Achievement of a minimum number of points.

Examination topics

Basic principles of intellectual property law in the scope of the contents presented in the lecture.
