Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The content of the tutorial is based on the booklet "Einführung in das Europarecht - Europäisches Verfassungsrecht" by Prof. Lengauer. Students are expected to have read the aforementioned booklet in advance.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students will be evaluated on the basis of 4 small written exams. At the beginning of the 2nd to 5th tutorial session, short exams on the content discussed in the respective preceding tutorial session will take place (about 10 minutes or 3 short questions).

Each written exam counts 25% towards the final grade. Students who contribute to class discussions at least 3 times will improve their grade by one point on the grading scale.

The following content is envisaged to be tested on the written exams:

1st exam on 31 October 2013:
-) Europarecht - Entwicklung und Struktur
-) Die Organe der Europäischen Union

2nd exam on 7 November 2013:
-) Rechtssetzungskompetenzen und Gesetzgebung in der Union
-) Verfassungsprinzipien der Europäischen Union

3rd exam on 8 November 2013:
-) Grund- und Menschenrechte im Unionsrecht
-) Grundzüge des Rechtsschutzsystems

4th exam on 9 November 2013:
-) Die Wirtschaftsverfassung der Europäischen Union (Binnenmarktrecht)

Exam results and credit awarded for class participation will be made available on Moodle. General feedback will be given during the last tutorial session.
