Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar explores current fragmentation tendencies in European integration, from Grexit and Brexit via the refugee crisis, Schengen and border porotection all the way to enhanced cooperation over matters of the internal market: Are these tendencies instances of fragmentation or has EU integration always seen such detours? What are the current causes? What is the framework provided by EU law in general and in the areas concerned, how is it implemented and is the law respected vis-à-vis political desires? What are Europe’s perspectives?
