Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of the course is the preparation of a student team of the University of Vienna for participation in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court 2017. The topics of this international competition are public international law and space law.The finals are traditionally organised at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), which will take place in Adelaide, Australia, next year. Three acting judges of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will be in the jury.Regional pre-selections take place in four world regions: Europe, North Amerika, Africa and Asia. The European Rounds are organised by the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL). They will be held in Lüneburg, Germany (in April/Mai 2017).During the winter semester, the written memorials of claimant and respondent will be prepared. The summer semester will be dedicated to the preparation and training of the oral pleadings.
