Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The "Seminar EU Environmental Law: Climate Protection and Energy Regulation" deals with questions of the European Environmental and Energy Law which are currently under discussion. In addition to that, the historic devleopment of energy supply shall be addressed; further questions to be dealt with encompass the external dimension of the Union's energy supply, the regulation of renewable energy sources and legal questions of energy markets in the EU.

In the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed.

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on the presentation (15%), the participation in the discussion (about the own presentation and in genera; 10%l) within the seminar and the seminar paper (75%).
The requirements for the seminar paper are in line with the common practice at the Faculty of Law. Details and suggestions for your research work shall be provided via MOODLE and in the kickoff class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The assessment is based on the presentation (15%), the participation in the discussion (about the own presentation and in genera; 10%l) within the seminar and the seminar paper (75%).
