Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar is interdisciplinary and is organised in different groups with a particular focus. Students may choose a focus; credits are restricted to this focus.

Legal informatics:
- Surveillance technologies and data protection
- Information retrieval & search technologies in law
Group European law/international law:
International and European governance
Group research seminar: literature research & editing & sientific work
(IRIS2011; www.univie.ac.at/RI/IRIS2011)
In the research group, scientific research and editing should be trained on a praticial project.
Further, a platform is offered for discussion of current problems & doctorial dissertations dealing with computers and law.
