Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar will deal with various topics and challenges from differents point of view e.g. international law, human rights law, constitutional law and others.In the course of the seminar, oral presentations of approx. 30 minutes supported by PowerPoint presentations or handouts will be given, which will be discussed in detail after the presentation. The topics of the presentations will be assigned in the preliminary meeting. After the seminar, there is the possibility to prepare written papers (at least 50,000 characters for diploma studies, 60,000 characters for dissertation, bachelor's and master studies) until the end of April 2025.
Assessment and permitted materials
4 ECTS are awarded for positively assessed oral presentations during the course. If a written paper is also prepared as part of the diploma programme and submitted to the SSC with an application for approval, you will receive an additional 4 ECTS as part of the approbation.For participation as part of dissertation, bachelor's or master studies please note the information accordingly to the StudyServiceCenter.Erasmus students who earn 4 ECTS for an oral presentation can also receive an additional 4 ECTS by submitting a written copy, but in this case no submission to the SSC and no application for approval is required.AI may only be used to the purpose of finding scientific literatur and topic specific documents, which have to be verified and accordingly quoted.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirements: Positively assessed delivery and discussion of an oral presentation, supported by a PPT or handout.Assessment standards for the written papers in the diploma and dissertation studies: Presentation and treatment of a legal topic using standard jurisprudential methods and dogmatics, in the dissertation and bachelor's studies additionally development of independent jurisprudential positions and evaluations.
