Aims, contents and method of the course

All entries will be judged, all resources are allowed.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- seminar paper of approx. 20-25 pages (if the paper is to be submitted as a thesis seminar paper: min. 50.000 characters, excl. table of contents, list of abbreviations and bibliography).
- Short presentation of 15-20 minutes, with handout or slides
- Attendance during the entire seminar
- Submission of the final version of the seminar paper by the end of the semester.The seminar grade is based on equal weighting of oral (presentation, participation) and written performance (seminar paper). The diploma thesis seminar grade evaluates only the written seminar paper.

Examination topics
An examination on the material is not foreseen within the framework of a seminar.
Reading list
The literature relevant to the topic is compiled within the framework of independent research. The course instructor offers various forms of assistance (research tutorials, etc.).

In der Vorbesprechung am 16.10.2024 werden Themenvorschläge zur Verfügung gestellt; es können aber auch eigenständige Vorschläge der Studierenden berücksichtigt werden. Die Studierenden recherchieren und arbeiten ihr Thema anschließend selbständig aus. Die Ergebnisse werden beim Blockseminar, welches in den darauffolgenden Monaten stattfindet, in Form eines 15-minütigen mündlichen Referats präsentiert, an das eine Diskussion anschließt. Die Abgabe der Diplomandenseminararbeit erfolgt bis Ende des Semesters.Ziele: Vertiefung methodischer Kenntnisse; Entwicklung kritischen Denkens; Stärkung der Fähigkeit zu mündlicher Präsentation und schriftlicher Bearbeitung komplexer juristischer Fragestellungen.Methode: Interaktiv und sokratisch in Form schriftlicher Ausarbeitung, mündlicher Präsentation und gemeinsamer Diskussion der Themen.
