Aims, contents and method of the course

The second part of the course is devoted to the legal and political aspects of the institutions most relevant to European security (UN, OSCE, NATO, EU), in particular their adaptation to the new political situation in Europe after the end of the East-West conflict by assuming new functions; the consequences of "9/11" will be emphasised in this context.

presentations by the instructor, discussion in class.
