Aims, contents and method of the course

This elective course offered as a specialization in the area of ¿The Law of International Relations¿ and ¿Law and Technology¿, will provide an overview of the legal framework for activities in Outer Space and for the use of space technology, be it for commercial, scientific, security, or other purposes. It will start with the principles of
Space Law as a branch of international law but also extend to other determinative legal obligations. The interaction of the different actors in the use of outer space technology will be analysed, particularly in view of increased privatisation.

Basis knowledge of English and international law.
