Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar covers questions related to international environmental law. In the preliminary meeting, a list of suggested topics for your work will be presented. The seminar is intended to give you the opportunity to delve deeper into a subject area, work on a topic independently and present and discuss it with colleagues. Independent work and a shared discourse between students and teachers are the focus of the seminar.

The assigned seminar topics will be presented and discussed in the seminar. You have 15 minutes available for your presentation. Students are free to use presentation programs (Powerpoint, ...). In addition, a handout must be prepared, information on this will follow in the preliminary meeting.

Assessment and permitted materials

Seminar paper in German or English (min. 50,000 characters incl. spaces and footnotes, and presentation (15 minutes) and contribution to discussions.

Participation counts towards the final grade.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The seminar is open to diploma students, IREWI and doctoral students.

It is possible to write bachelor theses in this seminar. The agreements to supervise hinges on participation in the seminar.

It is recommended that writers of masters thesis participate in the seminar.

In both cases, the separate requirements for bachelor and master theses apply.

Examination topics

Topics for the seminar papers (International Environmental Law) will be assigned in the preliminary meeting.
