Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course discusses the EU single market and the fundamental freedoms included in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. In particular, the course discusses the Treaty provisions and the case-law of the EU Court of Justice concerning the free movement of goods, workers, services, establishment, and capitals. Finally, the EU anti-discrimination rules and EU citizenship are also analyzed during the course. This is an advanced course, which builds upon the course VO Introduction to European Law, held during the winter term. Therefore, students are expected to have basic background knowledge about the EU institutions and the EU legal sources.
