Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal of the course is to prepare students for participation in the PAX Moot Court Competition.

Students work in teams to draft two pleadings to resolve this year's issue. Preparation for the pleadings will be through presentation training and discussions with practitioners and experts.

REGISTRATION:
A brief case will be uploaded to this website in early September. The case can be accessed here. This has to be solved in a memorial of maximum five A4 pages. The case solution and your collective testimony are the application documents that you send to felix.krysa@univie.ac.at by September 30, 2021 at the latest. In the second application round, you will be invited to a personal interview with the coaches. Shortly thereafter, the choice will be made who will be accepted into the PAX Moot Team of the University of Vienna. The selection of participants will be made by short interviews on 20.10.2021.

Assessment and permitted materials

Joint research and drafting of the two memorials to be filed in March, as well as preparation of the oral pleadings. Use of all online and offline resources for drafting the briefs is expressly encouraged.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Course validation: Participation in both the written and oral phase of the Moot Court will be weighted equally
