Aims, contents and method of the course
The course EU Constitutional Law - Principles and Structures intends to deal with structural features and principles of EU constitutional law. The first part of the course is devotes to the development of the European Union and its defining features, centering on the principle of primacy and the preliminary rulings procedure. The second part focusses on the actors of European integration, their interplay and the principle of democracy. The third part is devoted to the principles of direct effect, State liability and of the free movement of persons. Finally, questions of union citizenship and human rights' protection shall be discussed.
