Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar deals with increasing racism an hate speech in Europe from a fundamental rights perspective. The CoE and EU acquis will be taken into account as well as the respective case-law of the ECtHR. Students will be shown what is and can be done by legal means to combat these phenomena.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students will have to elaborate a written thesis on a certain topic and will have to present it orally in the course of the seminar followed by interactive discussions in order to get the credits.
