Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
To get familiar with the system of the law of the European Union in the field of banking supervision, to impart knowledge in the basic principles of granting bank licences, the banks¿ requirements of own funds, large exposure rules as well as the provisions to fight against money laundering; description and functioning of depositor and investor protection schemes in Austria. Description of the Austrian banking system, its organisation and sectoral structure; European Regulations and Directives on banking supervision and the transposition into the Austrian Banking Act; organisation of the Austrian Financial Market Authority, its competencies and instruments of supervision.
