Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The legal standing of religious communities in Austria will be examined. Therefore a comparative analysis of the Concordate 1933/34 and its additional agreements, the Federal Law on External Legal Relationships of the Protestant Church in Austria (Protestantengesetz 1961), the Federal Act on External Legal Relationships of the Greek-Oriental Church in Austria (Orthodoxengesetz 1967), the Act on External Legal Relationships of the Israelite Religious Society as amended in 2012 (Israelitengesetz in der Fassung von 2012) and the Act on External Legal Relationships of Islamic Religious Societies (Islamgesetz 2015) is necessary. Regarding for instance the legal standing of the Islamic religious Community in Austria this course is of importance as parallel regulations for other legally recognized religious communities will be examined.

Assessment and permitted materials

1. Mitarbeit: Notiert werden so genannte "Mitarbeitsplus".
2. Schriftliches Kolloquium innerhalb der letzten Lehrveranstaltungseinheit vom Montag 17. Juni (Dauer: 40 Mintuten). Ersatzweise kann das Kolloquium auch mündlich und digital bis Ende Juli abgelegt werden. Die Kolloquienfragen werden ausschließlich einem Katalog entnommen, der insgesamt 20 Fragen umfasst und den Studierenden im Lauf des Semesters bekanntgemacht wird.
Es besteht ferner die Möglichkeit, bezogen auf den Stoff des 1. Skriptums, innerhalb der Lehrveranstaltungseinheit vom Montag 27. Mai eine FREIWILLIGE schriftliche Zwischenklausur abzulegen (Dauer: 20 Minuten). Wird die Zwischenklausur besser gewertet als die Fragebeantwortung zu Skriptum 1 innerhalb des Abschlusskolloquiums, dann wird das Ergebnis der Zwischenklausur für die Endbenotung herangezogen und die Fragebeantwortung zu Skriptum 1 im Rahmen des Abschlusskolloquiums (GÜNSTIGKEITSPRINZIP!!!).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Anwesenheitspflicht (bitte nicht mehr als dreimal fehlen). Das Ergebnis des Abschlusskolloquiums wird etwa zwei Drittel des Notenkalküls bilden, die Mitarbeit etwa ein Drittel.
