Classes (iCal) - next class is marked with N

The plan is that the first units, up to and including 4 April, will be held exclusively online (via Zoom) and then, epidemic conditions permitting, there will be a return to the lecture theatre. However, there will be the possibility to follow the course via livestream in the units after Easter. More details will be explained in the first unit.
Both exams will take place before Easter. On request, certificates of positive attendance can therefore be issued during the Easter holidays - and thus before the oral examination date in April.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is designed for students in the first stage of study to prepare for the module examination in "Legal and Constitutional History". Using sources, thematic focal points from the section "Constitutional History" are discussed; this comprises about half of the entire module examination. To prepare for the "History of Private Law" part of the exam, it is recommended to attend a corresponding course.

Assessment and permitted materials

discussion and two written tests as well as multiple choice tests (on moodle)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

There will be two wirtten test; for the final evaluation, the better test will be the basis (if the student has taken part only at one term, this term will be the basis). It is possible to better the evaluation up to two marks on the cause of active participation at the discussions or with participation at the multiple choice tests. But it is not possible to change a negative evaluation into a positive only this way, e.g. one of the written tests have to be positive.

Examination topics

On moodle you can see, which chapter have to be prepared for each unit.
