Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to legal methodology and to the work on legal cases in Constitutional Law. Attendance is compulsory during the whole course; you may be absent once.
Assessment and permitted materials
One written exam and regular oral participation.
The written exam (jointly for all APÜs - Constitutional Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law) will take place on 15th December 2023; for the exact time see above). If required, the exam can be repeated on 21tst December 2023.
Permitted material: Unannotated editions of relevant statutes, handwritten annotations are not permitted.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance of the first unit is compulsory. For oral participation in each unit, a (+) will be awarded. A positive assessment of the course requires a successful pass of the written exam and active oral participation (minimum: two (+)).
Examination topics
In each unit, cases will be provided in advance via moodle as a basis for discussions. Students will have to prepare these cases.
For a successful completion of the course, it is strongly advisable to study the recommended literature in advance and to prepare the cases provided for the respective unit.
To successfully pass the exam, knowledge of the recommended literature and the cases discussed is indispensable.
