Für das Seminar am 1. und 2. Juni dJ wurde ein nettes Lokal gefunden: das Häuserl am Stoan an der Höhenstraße, ein uriges Wienerwaldlokal mit sehr guter Küche. Fahren kann man dorthin NUR über die Höhenstraße (vom geographisch am nächsten liegenden Salmannsdorf aus ist die Gaststätte nur zu Fuß erreichbar!); die nahe Busstation (43A) heißt "Dreimarkstein". Der Bus 43A fährt von Neuwaldegg (Endstation Straßenbahn Linie 43) auf den Cobenzl; von 8 bis 13 Uhr aber nur halbstündlich.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar will deal with all legal, cultural and ethical questions of provenance research on the basis of selected art objects (e.g. famous paintings).
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment of the oral seminar presentation and (for diploma students) the written seminar paper (to be submitted by 31 July 2023); participation in the discussion.
Naturally, the entire literature and case law relevant to the respective topic is permitted as aids.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirements for a positive grade are, in addition to attendance at the entire seminar, an independent investigation of the topic dealt with, following the rules of correct scientific work. The seminar grade is based on the performance shown.
Examination topics
The topic to be dealt with by the students is to be presented in a paper of at least 20 minutes; a handout is to be submitted for this purpose. Powerpoint presentations are possible.
