Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives: Students obtain an overview of applications, basic concepts, and fields of economics

Contents: Definition of economics, basic topics such as trade, supply and demand, markets, social interaction, measurement of economic activities, growth, business cycles.
Method: The subject matter is explained to the students in a lecture.

Assessment and permitted materials

Multiple choice exam
Materials permitted: Open book in case of digital exam
Exam dates: One date each in the middle of the semester (after the last lecture) and at the end of the semester.
No exam date at the beginning of the semester!

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a passing grade, at least half of all questions must be answered correctly.
