Aims, contents and method of the course
(1) The factors driving long-term economic growth
(2) The causes of business cycle fluctuations
(3) The operation of the financial sector
(4) Fiscal and monetary policy in the short- and medium-run
(5) Trade and exchange rates in open economies
This course also touches upon gender roles in the labor market, the distribution of income and wealth, and environmental concerns.Contents:
The course consists of three main building blocks:
1. Macroeconomic Accounts and Aggregate Data
2. Economic Growth
3. Business CyclesLectures will take place as scheduled in u:find. A teaching assistant will give an additional tutorial, where practical exercises are discussed. The time of the office hours is to be announced.
