Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Insights into selected topics in the field of management accounting. Students will present the topics and will be discussed among the course participants. All assignments have to comply with the highest scientific standards.
Assessment and permitted materials
• Tasks
- Introduction video (2 minutes)
- Practice presentation (10 minutes) + 2 reviews about colleagues
- Executive summary (6 pages) + 2 reviews on colleagues
- Presentation (10 minutes + 2 minutes response to the reviews) and participation in the discussions
- Revised executive summary (6 pages),
Additional responses to the reviews (max. 2 pages per review)
• All tasks (video, presentation, executive summary) need to be in either German or English. All subtasks must be completed individually. Group work will be assessed as a cheating attempt.
• Compulsory attendance at the assigned exercise presentations and the final presentations (absence permitted for 20% of the final presentations).

- 10%: Presentation video
- 10%: 2 reports on exercise presentations (R1)
- 10%: 2 reports on executive summary (R2)
- 50%: Final presentation with response to the reviewers (R1)
- 20%: Executive summary with response to the reviewers (R2)
- All subtasks must be completed successfully• The use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to generate text is not permitted.
• Scientific work: Continuous citation and clean scientific work required.
• All submitted material will be checked for plagiarism and AI use with the help of dedicated software. Plagiarism and the use of unauthorized aids will be assessed without exception as an attempt to cheat and marked on the transcript.
