Aims, contents and method of the course

In the business informatics bachelor seminar the students write a bachelor thesis. The goal is the scientific elaboration of a topic in the field of business informatics and the presentation of the solution approach in the course of the seminar. The students thus make a first step towards the self-directed scientific working. After the distribution of the topics the individual completion is expected - this encompasses, based on the given topic, the scientific literature search, the analysis and critical discussion of the literature, the elaboration of a solution concept and optionally also the realization using technical means.

Assessment and permitted materials

15% Exposé, 65% Bachelor thesis, 20% final presentation

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive evaluation of the course 50% have to be reached at minimum. This also includes the on-time delivery of the bachelor thesis and the presentation slides. Work that is not submitted on time are not considered for evaluation.

The grading scale is defined as follows: >50% - 62,5%: Genügend; >62,5% - 75%: Befriedigend; >75% - 87,5%: Gut; >87,5%: Sehr Gut
