Aims, contents and method of the course

Advanced students with Russian at the level of native or second native language might be offered upgraded assignments.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The final grade consists of 3 parts of the language activities to be tested:
1. Midterm Test for Grammar B1, listening & comprehension, reading, translation, business vocabulary - 30%, middle of May.
2. Oral tests "Business Phione Calls" & two oral presentations "Product marketing" & "Market analysis of a region" - delivery of individual performances within the arranged deadline starting from the 9.th term-week - 30%, May-June
3. Final written exam: translation D-R & speech production - 30%, end of June
100 - 91 points very good
90 - 81 points gut
80 - 71 points satisfactory
70 - 60 points sufficient
under 60 points insufficient
Attendance:
Students missing more than 4 times will be checked out of the course (in case of illness proved thru a medical note), otherwise they will be evaluated negatively.
Students who cut the first lesson without an excuse, will be checked out of the course.

- Facilitation of specific business vocabulary, idioms and means of expression for statistics, as well as intercultural communicative specifications in a Russain-speaking environment.

- Invitations, advertising, promotions, presentation/offer of products & services, presentation & market analysis of a region.
- Forms of business enterprises in Russia today, activities, tendencies.
- Functions & duties of associates, job description.
- Business trips, air-tickets, hotel, means of transport, public transport, restaurants, payment.
Teaching methods:
- Communicative, inter-active, analytical. The students are supposed to cooperate with the peers, submit their group & individual work in due time.
