Aims, contents and method of the course

Advanced students with Russian at the level of native or second native language might be offered upgraded assignments.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The final grade consists of the following parts of the language activities to be tested:
1. Test 1 for Grammar A2+ & Business Vocabulary - 20%, End of March
2. Test 2 for Statistik language & Telephoning - 20%, Middle of May
3. Written Final Test for Speech Production (Region; Product ); Listening-& Reading Comprehension - 20%, End of June
4. Power Point Präsentation (Product: to prepare in writing & to present orally in public in fluent speaking) - 20%. Appointments will be fixed individually
5. Oral Speaking Skills Testing to the Topics of the Term (during the Term or as an oral exam at the end) - 20% (as accumulation of all Topics)100 - 91 points very good
90 - 81 points gut
80 - 71 points satisfactory
70 - 60 points sufficient
under 60 points insufficient
Attendance:
Students missing more than 4 times will be checked out of the course (in case of illness proved thru a medical note), otherwise they will be evaluated negatively.
Students who cut the first lesson without an excuse, will be checked out of the course.

- Improvement of general language skills at the level A2-B1 (acc.to CEFR) thru sufficient oral & written communication activities.
- Buildup of grammar competence focusing on verbal aspects & declination of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, numerals in a context.
- Advancement of reading & writing skills, as well as listening & comprehension.
- Facilitation of specific business vocabulary, idioms and means of expression for statistics, as well as intercultural communicative specifications in a Russain-speaking environment.
Content:
- Small talk & paving the way for business, appointments & meetings, phone talks, inquiries, time expressions.
- Invitations, advertising, promotions, presentation/offer of products & services, presentation & market analysis of a region.
- Forms of business enterprises in Russia today, activities, tendencies, types of advertising, etc.
Teaching methods:
- Communicative, inter-active, analytical. The students are supposed to cooperate with the peers, submit their group & individual work in due time.
