Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The final grade consists of the following parts:
1. Coursework - homework, preparation for class, in-class contributions, quizzes - 30%
2. Presentation - individual appointments will be arranged - 30%
3. Final Examination, 30 June 2025 - written (pen & paper): terminology, reading comprehension, writing - 40 %100 - 91 points very good
90 - 81 points gut
80 - 71 points satisfactory
70 - 60 points sufficient
under 60 points insufficientATTENDANCE:
Students missing more than 4 times will be de-registered from the course (in case of illness proved thru a medical note), otherwise they will be evaluated negatively.
Students who miss the first class without excuse will be deregistered from the course.

- Improvement of general language skills at the level A2-B1 (acc.to CEFR) thru sufficient oral & written communication activities.
- Buildup of grammar competence focusing on verbal aspects & declination of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, numerals in a context.
- Advancement of reading & writing skills, as well as listening & comprehension.
- Facilitation of specific business vocabulary, idioms and means of expression for statistics, as well as intercultural communicative specifications in a Russain-speaking environment.

- Small talk & paving the way for business, appointments & meetings, phone talks, inquiries, time expressions.
- Invitations, advertising, promotions, presentation/offer of products & services, presentation & market analysis of a region.
- Forms of business enterprises in Russia today, activities, tendencies.
- Functions & duties of associates, job description.
- Business trips, air-tickets, hotel, means of transport, public transport, restaurants, payment.
Teaching methods:
- Communicative, inter-active, analytical. The students are supposed to cooperate with the peers, submit their group & individual work in due time.
